New Year, New Scrap Goals...

For 2011 I have decided to add my scrapping to the priority list. For me, creativity is an outlet, therapy, and all about me! Keeping this in mind I also realize... ... so I am releasing myself to do only the projects I am inspired to do, I want to do, and I have time to do. So maybe the kid's "Baby Books" will continue to sit in a box... along with most of the holiday pictures, annual trips, and the "regular" events. No more will I challenge myself to cram 12 photos on one layout to make sure everyone there was represented- lol! Instead, I will scrap the little things I do not want to forget. I will scrap for me according to me... not for anyone else or the calendar. I will let my scrapping be meaningful, focused, and full of joy! I would love to make things for the love of making things and use things I think are fun, pretty, and speak to me. So here we go...

I am taking this Ali Edwards class over at Big Picture Scrapbooks... check it out!

I am also going to give Project 12 a shot... I would love to do some of the weekly or even daily projects floating around in bloggy world, but this is the one for me!
I might even tryout for a desing team or start a little etsy shop- just for me!

I hear ya Kristy! Sometimes I feel so overwhelmed with being behind on our family album that I worry about it. Then I rush through layouts to catch up. Hmmm....maybe we start a scrapping support group so when we're feeling overwhelmed we can support each other through it. But I love the idea of just doing projects you really want to do and just using the supplies you want to do (regardless if they're on sale, I'm a bit of a bargain shopper so I usually only buy the supplies that are on sale).

And you should most definitely try to be on a design team. You've got the natural talent, the teaching instinct and are super creative.

As for my word....it's more of a string of words.
Make no assumptions.
*Don't assume with words, with thoughts, with actions.
* Don't assume you'll always have that special person in your life, so treasure them right now.
