Woo Hoo!
I have a fun new group of scrappin' girls to play with!
I have lived in this town for just 9 months
and thanks to my mommy group
I already have a fun group of friends
to crop and craft with.
I hosted a crop night this weekend and
it was so much fun to make stuff, eat, and
show off the Memory Works products...
ok and drink a little wine, too!
I put together a little make and take with our
Fancy Pants Summers End Paper.
Fancy Pants Summers End Paper.
We made my super simple and very darling photo clips.
Look HERE to see my original post.
These are super fun for seasonal displays,
place cards, and they even hold a gift card!
place cards, and they even hold a gift card!
I used some vintage glass ware and
our desert plates to hold all our materials.
Everything was cut and measured, however
I left a variety of ribbon, flowers, buttons, and
paper pieces, so everyone could add their own touch!
I also was able to show off stickles...
which I think every crafter should own!
To display product and keep myself organized,
I moved a few things around on my hutch.
I really liked how natural and part of my decor it all looked.
I do want to work on a way to display some of my layouts.... ideas?
I brought down a few of my favorite things that
maybe the girls were not familiar
with, like my 6x6 paper obsession and glimmer mist.
It was requested that I do a make and
take with the glimmer mist and acrylic stamps!!
This is how I store
my newest,
most favorite,
most inspirational
paper in my scrap room...
So it was a perfect way to display even more product!
I did not do a whole of "selling" as this was a crop
and not a "catalog party"
However, this method will also help me
keep track or order of mentioning our different lines.
All and all, I had fun so I would say to was a success...
the girls want to make it a monthly thing,
which thrills me because it is always way more
fun to scrap with friends!
I have also learned that I do want to host an open house
for girls who either don't scrapbook or
girls who are not interested in being in a monthly crop.
Before I do this I want to get working on
Mike's Elementary Album and Adelyn's Fabulous Album.
This way girls (aka busy busy moms) can see
how fun and easy it is to leave your babies an adorable legacy!
Also, I am continuing my craft nights...
wait until you see our Spring Craft!!

I like that you store your paper vertically. Makes it so much easier to see. I have mine horizontal in a wire container, and sometimes I do get frustrated. Have a fun weekend.
Yay, Kristy! Those are some lucky ladies to be benefitting from your generous heart and welcoming spirit!
Nice start! The My Mind's Eye acrylic stamps sets coming out look so awesome. Glad you found some crafty friends in your new town.
Love this idea! Why can't I live in New Braunfels so I can attend??? Sounds like you are living your life's dream!
