It worked out very nice with the Design Dollies September sketch challenge. (Thanks, girls!) I wanted a home-made feel to the page, so I added a border that looks like old fabric. I did this by snipping all around the edge, then running the paper under water and crumbling it just a bit. When it dried it had a lovely aged look and added texture to my page.
My journaling block was stamped and then raised with foam squares. "Home... This is the home Daddy came to after the war... this is where Mike took his first steps... Where Addy celebrated her first holidays..." and then at the bottom of the page I continued the journaling with... "This is the house we made into our first home" and then I wrote the address.

Awesome!!! I love the color pallette and cool tip on the border.
Very nice! I love the journaling too... our homes are so special to us. Your kids will be happy to have that!
What a great idea. I had not thought to scrap my house. I am definately going to do that.
