Embracing Imperfection

This week, while they napped
I watched a few classes over at Big Picture Scrapbooking.
One of the free classes is called Embrace Imperfection...
it is really good!
You can click on this icon and find it...
wait, you SHOULD click on this icon and WATCH it! Insoired by the class and my freshly printed sketch from SKETCHY THURSDAY
I made not one, but TWO layouts... in one day...
72 minutes to be exact.
This was the 2nd one I made...
a couple of stamping "ughs" and the tag is less than great...
but over all I am liking it a lot!

So, my first attempt to "get messy" was one I could not let go...
lol... I'm working on that.

My 2nd try was better, but old Kristy would have again started over.
New "lovin' being imperfect Kristy" went for it... anyways.
Wow... noting matching,
the journaling is sloppy and crooked,
but I love the pictures because it was such a great memory!

And I really like my title... well, not the way it looks exactly but the words...
See I can learn something new everyday!

Lucky Me

March is here and it makes me feel LUCKY! I have been holding on to the great doodle rainbow paper for awhile and when I pulled out last years St. Patty's Day pics... well, I struck gold! I added my own doodles, a hand drawn cloud embelly, and tried a scallop technique I have been seeing around. You tuck in several 1" circle punches behind borders or pictures to make them appear to be a scalloped border... pretty charming!

Scrappy Love

I am feeling the love for my new magnetic Valentine decor! Would you believe this beauty was once this tacky dollar store tray?
Really is there nothing some pretty paper, ribbon, and glitter can't make pretty?

Even this glitter heart came in a bag of eight from the good ole Dollar Tree!
And if you were wondering-
why yes, you can paint, glue, and cover a paper doily in glitter!

My Loves!

Happy Valentine's Day

Here is a mini banner I made for Valentine's Day. I used the coasters from OutBack... they are free!

Halloween Card

Our Halloween cards this year were so much fun to make! I took a picture of Mike in a cute up pillowcase, so he looked like a ghost.
I used the Martha Stewart spider web border punch my mom gave me. I also made the tag with a punch and added a stamped 'boo' and some glitter tulle.

On the inside there is another picture of Mike, jumping out from his disguise.

I used the free fonts from Two Peas to print the inside tag! I think our grandparents and cousins will really like this one!
